Hey everyone,

I just got my first square body!!!! I've wanted one for a few years and finally came across a deal I couldn't refuse. 100 bucks. Now I know you must be thinking what kind of POS did I get for 100 bucks. Its not that bad haha. It's an 86 sierra classic shortbed. I will post pics as soon as I figure out how. If there is a link to how to post pictures that would be appreciated.

As for me I live up in Cold Lake, Alberta. I will be starting to work on this truck over this winter. I will be starting a build thread from dissasembly to finished product. So far I am thinking a mild static drop( I'm not one for 22in rims and scraping pavement), and either a mildly built 350 and 700r4, for less gas consumption, or a big ole 454. Going to square away the chassis before I get started on the engine.

Any tips for navigating this site or some good faqs would be appreciated.

Nice clean original, power everything, AC, tilt, bed never used.

Ok, looking at swapping in a efi with 4 speed, or something to get closer to 16-17 MPG if that is a viable number without excessive cost benefit.
Need to replace the brake booster too I think.
I'll do wheel and master cylinders at same time for peace of mind.
What have folks here used apart from the stock issue brake components bearing in mind I want to keep disc/drum set up ?
