hello. My name is chris but people call me hippie. New member to site but i have probably referenced it in the past for tech help. I have a 79 silerado k20 with a mild 350 and a th400 with shift kit. Originally a sb400/th400 truck but unfortunately had the 350 when i got it. The good is that it and the trans had both had a fairly recent rebuild with a .0060" overbore, "rv" cam, and headers. Truck runs really strong and is mechanically gettin there(running out of things to replace/rebuild/update). Interior is ruff but not shot and the body is pretty bad. Solid floors and underneath but the bed and fenders are garbage. My priorities are mecanical first, then interior, and body last. This is my daily driver so its a slow moving work in progress. Im sure i will need more tech help in the future so thank u all in advance for being there and i have had the "pleasure" of fighting with many things on squarebodies so maybe i can help others too. Even if it might be " what not to do"

Nice truck Hippie. Reminds me of my youth. I went with my brother in 79 to buy a new K30, 400/400. We left in a new truck for $9000.00. I can still smell the newness.......

Thanks for the welcomes. Hello to a fellow missouri'n. The bumper came with the truck but i wouldnt change it. Especially cuz it gives me somewhere to stand when im under the hood
