Howdy all,

I acquired a 1990 V2500 thru a trade. Love the truck... Needs mostly cosmetic stuff.

First thing that went was the saggy headliner. Now, I have a tin can... LOL

I really don't want to put back a traditional headliner out of fabric. Was thinking about reinforcing the headliner boards and maybe putting a durabak coating on them. I will be insulating between the boards and roof.

Is this a doable project or am I just dreaming? LMAO

any thoughts & ideas are welcome

You can really do anything you want, as long as you can clean all of the old foam off, without damaging the boards....skys the limit.......or, the ceiling is anyways.
I have not heard of Durabak, but keep in mind, most coatings will take a few months to "gas off"

I did redo the headliner in a Black Denim. Not completely happy with it.

Also, I still need to install a few dome lights. I never reinstalled the big ugly useless overhead console. I want to fab up something more useful.

Your redo looks Great! love the USB port...
