What is everyone who has messed with a Crew cab done for a headliner? I have the original cardboard piece that I was looking at recovering. I see there are some conversion styles out there that use the car style headliner but nothing with a board.

Can the cardboard piece be recovered with thin leather?

I would not lay down the cover without using at least a thin (1/8") foam padding to hide any imperfections in the board.

When you attach the foam to the board and the cover to the foam, do not use too much glue and pressure or you will get waves in the final product.

They are kinda cool I guess. And cheap. If I were replacing my headliner, I might install a Starlight type:
