Hey guys.. I install my ATI harmonic balancer on my sbc. I also installed a

different timing chain cover. So when I went to install the timing tab I could

not see the timing marks on the balancer.

Did I do something wrong? I installed the balancer with the installer kit.

Or do I need to purchase a timing tab from the same maker as the timing

chain cover??

thanks.

You need to find TDC and match the timing tab to the balancer.

here is the new timing tab Mildolon tab for 6.325 ATI Damper.

I called about the clearance and the rep told me that it is suppose to be a really close tolerance. Damper moves freely and does not hit the timing tab.

blue tap is when I was finding TDC and marking it.

Were you able to line up the pointer with the "0" mark at TDC?

What a shame you won't have a cheesy chrome timing tab to reflect the light back into your face. :)

That thing wouldn't have worked with a stock damper.

LOL I installed that exact same pointer and it interfered with my power steering pump brackets.
