I spaced my rack so the lower stock cup is right where the transmission hump/floor junction is flat. Then bolted the upper retaining piece directly vertical of that. Handy and 99% of others don't recognize that there is a rifle barrel poking out above the dash. Pretty much have one in the rack if I am driving due to my location. I get a big grin from Border Patrol when I stop at the checkpoints.
