Studs are good on the newer one, it was also hard to remove because the factory used tape too. I'll remove the older one and make sure the studs are good on that one.

The emblems are sold, but I still have the tailgate band I need to remove from my '79. It has a GMC emblem on it. I have actually had it posted for sale a couple different places a couple years ago. Now that I think about it, a fellow from France had inquired about it too. Perhaps it was you?

At any rate, I can remove the emblem from the band. I've had the Chevy band to put on for a couple years now.

yes it was me about 1 year ago.

In case i bought a truck without the band, but now mine has it now altough it's a chevy, the black suround match the fall guy truck's tail gate which is not the case of the band of your picture, now i just need a GMC emblem.

I'll sell just the emblem if you want it, although it looks to me like a slightly different style. Which side of the band is your Chevy emblem on? The passenger side?

you're right, this is not the same.

it seems smaller on yours, perhaps it is because of the black suround missing on your aluminium band.

Chevrolet is on right on mine, the question is : is there holes behind the logo ?

I guess I need to get Right Stuff. When I had that blow out, I somehow hit the band with the floor jack and knocked one side of the Emblem off. Guess I shoulda dropped the tailgate instead of heave it over the top. It broke the studs and is now barely hanging on with by 1 stud, IF it hasn't fallen off yet.

Yeah, there's holes in the panel for the emblem.
