“Hot” is typically not encountered in these parts!

Possibly fit a fuel filter in the line near the carb the one way filter type so you don’t get bleed back to the tank.

That's a good idea that @GTP51 has. Mechanically stop the fuel from draining back to the pump.
Also, @Old60Driver has a good idea of what to look for when you take it apart. And these other ideas are good to. They all use q-jets and have had these problems. It's got to be one or more of those things.
