Front driveline, 1985 Chevy K 20 suburban

OK I’m replacing all the u joints in my whole driveline the front driveline I took apart at the u joints and there’s a little ball that seats in there to the front drive line that has a little rubber washer with a spring on it which was broken. what is that called? Hopefully you know what I’m talking about. If not, I can get a picture of it. Thank you.

This is what I’m talking about. Technically, the spring wasn’t broken but it’s all out of shape.

It is called a CV U-joint

I knew that I just didn’t know what all that other stuff was called so I can replace all that stuff in that little joint area and that’s what that summit racing stuff is. Thanks for your help.

There’s a little rubber beveled washer that has a spring that goes around it is that part of that summit racing repair kit

OK I ordered that kit does all that come apart easily
