Cold here too, with snow on the ground. We had 47 today and melted alot off and a low tongiht of 33 so I hope we lose more. But it appears we have 6-12 more snow coming Tuesday or Wednesday.

There's Imann, he's the punk that likes to stir **** up around here Pops. J/K, pretend I'm kidding OK Imann??? He's in Reno, NV and has ties to NM and AZ, but were not sure he likes Chevy's or Fords. I think its Ford, but at least on his GMC he likes big mirrors so we tolerate him.

So, in case you guys haven't figured out, I know Pops from another forum. He's my criminal buddy that got us banned on another site and we bailed and took a couple, OK, maybe a whole bunch of people with us. :happy175: And the place hasn't been the same since. He is also a trans guy and tends to know more about the electonic units than I do. So you got 4L60-E and 4L80-E questions, he'd be your target. I'll get you up to speed pretty quick Pops. There is a handful of daily visitors, or should I say, ALL DAY visitors, then some that are in and out. Sure glad you made it over. I'll look for that link of that guy putting the Vortec motor in the K5 Blazer. I think its titled, Project taking to long or something like that.

Here is that link. I'm not so sure he goes alot into detail about the conversion, but he'll know what to tell you. I'd think its pretty straight forward. Use the same hole where either the ESC or TBI Wiring harness comes out of the cab thru the firewall, and you are well on your way. Being that Squares used the 350 OEM and the 700r4 OEM, you are fully aware a 4L60-E is going to bolt rignt up just like a 700r4 and so is the 350. Then is all about running your SFI harness thru the firewall to the ECM. I think it would be a great conversion. Also, we have a guy here that likes to put all modern features in Squarebodies, like climate control BS, compass temp mirrors, digital dash etc, but he likes to do it all with OEM GM parts not aftermarkets. He is known as Retro here. Quite an interesting guy, or maybe he prefers girl, not sure today. But I am sure there is enough Squarebody guru's here to get you all hooked up.
