I like your idea better. And IMO, I like them better modified in their original era. So if its an 80's truck, mod it like it was done in 80. If its a 2010, then mod it like we do today. I think it would be just fine with a 2/4 lower kit and some Cragar SS 15's with raised while letter tires. :grd: Just Do it !!!

sounds fine to me, tons of guys have old chevys with glasspacks around here, and my old man has cragar ss's on his 84 short bed, I put them on anything.

I'd like to see that!

Nothing wrong with that! A lot of the styles in the past were great and I actually miss them. I would love to find some old Outlaw wheels and a tube grill for my '84. I'm not going to put anything on the truck that looks modern. Same goes for my Blazer, it has vintage hurricane wheels and brush guard. Nothing that looks modern anywhere, inside or out.

Thank god - I thought I was the only one that thinks the rims of today look like Sheeet! There is nothing appealing about them at all - yet even people in my age bracket have them on their vehicles.

Old School rules - enough said.

You're not alone !!! Give me some riveted Centerlines, or Weld Wheels any day of the week. And 15 or 16in on a truck will work just fine. I don't need fuggin 24's. Donk ass sumbishhes !!! :flipthebird:

Notice it's all blacked out? Wasn't that the early 90's when that became popular? You'd paint all your chrome trim around the glass and the mirror black?

That's how I would do it if I had a 2wd. 2/4 drop, Torque Thrust 2's, and glasspacks. :rockit:

Once things get better job wise, I would like to find a truck just like Knight's shortbed, and stick a 6.2 LS and 6L80 trans, 3.55 rear gears, with some 16x10 Cragar 342 black D window wheels, And some subtle red pinstriping, and a red Bowtie in the grill, and stock marker light lenses stuffed with LED's.
