Ok, I know its a tv show but did any of you watch Street Outlaws this week, the daily driver episode? Half the field were Mustangs all sporting power adders and there were other muscle cars and a few Corvettes. One C5 Z06 Corvette was a big cube twin turbo supposedly in the 800 hp range. The Mustangs ruled the night but in the end an old 85 fox body with a blown head gasket won the $25k. I was surprised that the Corvettes didn’t go further into the eliminations but I’m pretty sure they were 6 speeds and from what I could tell the Mustangs were automatics and very consistent.

In all seriousness, I might have understood the competing build formulas and how they relate to each other had we been having this discussion 25+ years ago, but things are so computerized nowadays that you have to be one with your laptop instead of one with your engine, transmission, gearing, etc. If you know the intricacies of all these electronics, you’re set, but if you’re old fashioned, things can quickly get enigmatic. Or at least that’s what I think.

I watched the first couple of seasons then lost intrest when they started running pro mods. That's not a street car. My favorite was monza's split bumper camaro. You seen how fast Chuck feel off the list with his shitstain. Ky Kelly drug big chiefs ass Every time! Doc had a $60,000 motor and now has a $100,000 motor. It got too commercial for me instead of just a group of regular guys out racing STREET cars they built.
