All- I am in need of a new fender and a new door for a 1986 Silverado... Has anyone purchased the body panels from LMC truck.com and were they satisfied. I read that its made in China? If LMCtruck is not the place to buy them is there another place that sells them???

My hood, fenders and doors are from LMC and I'm very happy with them :waytogo: The vast majority of reproduction parts are from China so you're going to have a hard time staying away from that unless you spend the coin on OEM which are $$$ or getting lucky and finding rust free replacements on CL or the local PAP.

You can try this place its called daves truck parts. The phone number is 828-695-8144. He is actually cheaper on most stuff than LMC also. Got everything from 47'-87' chevy and gmc. The site is www.davestruckparts.net and just download the catelog.

convenience is exactly the reason I got most of my stuff from LMC and stuff from classic parts (formerly Chevy Duty). Both places are about 30 minutes from my house so it was easy to just drive to either place and pick up parts. It also helped that I get 10% discount through my truck club at both spots as well. So I never had to deal with high shipping costs or had any issues with returning parts.
