Engine mount brackets.

hello first of all i am new to this group. This is a great place to ask questions. facebook has to many people that discourage me. So i'm putting a 383 stroker in my gmc sierra stepside truck and the mounts do not line up. almost 2" short. i got this motor from a 81 chevy malibu with malibu clamshell brackets. the bracket mounts to the engine not on the frame. i thought the clamshell brackets were all the same.
