I am contemplating giving my Edelbrock 1405 a thorough cleaning/refresh check up since it has been on the engine for 13-ish years without that kind of maintenance. It certainly runs well but perhaps it is the time. I found a rebuild kit from Allstate Carburetor with a metal accelerator pump rod/alcohol resistant cup.
Has anyone used one of these or heard anything against a metal acc pump rod?
