Has anyone ever used lowering shackles with a flip kit?

You can if you want your truck 2in lower in the rear but will most likely need a c-notch and you will also need to notch the bed brace above the shackle for clearance.

I have already planned on the notch on the frame. The bed has already been notched where I had them on before I performed the flip kit. I just didn't know if it would cause issues with the drive shaft pinion angle.

EDIT: I'm wanting to go 3 more in the front and 2 in the rear. Just trying to see which is better a block or shackle

I havent heard of any pinion angle issues with the drop shackles used with the flip kit.

Would a c notch be enough or would it be better just to step the frame ?

A c-notch is enough, the diff will hit the bed floor before the axle tube hits the c-notch.
