I went through the process of aligning the door hinges, fenders, etc. and got them all decent after a few days of aligning and adjusting. My question is I did this without the door weathersripping on and now when I add the weathersripping it pushes the door out of alignment (pushes out 1/2 on back edge). Will this settle down with use / time or do I need to readust the hinges now to compensate for the rubber weatherstripping. Appreciate feedback from those who have solved this!

Any ideas? Will it just get better after a few weeks being compressed? I already tried moving the door striker all the way in, that help some but it still is pushed out. Debating if I just give it a few weeks or if I need to go back to the hinges and adjust then out?

I am in the process of restoring my 1987 V3500. The body shop told me to get "Precision Rubber Products" stuff because the other brands are too stiff and cause issues. We are at the point where it is going back together and the doors close nicely with Precision's weatherstrips.

Appreciate the feedback, very helpful. I'll look at the precision ones
