I just removed the cowl vent panel on my '81 C10, that body part between the back of the hood and the windshield.
Seems to have used some plastic push in studs to secure it to the cowl itself, anyone know where one can find them? Checked the obvious and no luck so far.
Thanks bob

Just pulled one of these the other day;

The plastic shield (leaf filter?) snaps into the cab front in 4 places in the front, hooks in the back (4 places) and screws down in the front in 2 places.

The two places it screws down in the middle of the front also capture the 2 steel clips that are used to hold the middle of the actual metal cowling. The steel cowling is also held inplace by screws in the 2 corners.

I mean the metal cover over the leaf screen, that filler piece between the back of the hood and the windshield. There are 5 plastic tapered pins that go in holes right below the windshield, they keep that panel from flapping about. I have the screws for the leading edge, I need the pins for the trailing edge.
Thanks. Bob

Yes. #61 appears to be the screw that secures the leading edge. I need the tapered plastic (threadless) stud on the tailing edge

I wouldn't go by that dwg - it is just a rough sketch. Part is listed as:

061 RETAINER. Cowl Ventilator

They don't generally show individual screws in these dwgs. Notice that there is not one screw shown in the entire front clip assembly drawing.

Here is the dwg and parts list (just the applicable section) that I used to find the part number. It shows the retainers more clearly than in the Nalley dwg:

Also, I would find it hard to believe that they want $27 for a couple of screws.

Yeah. To me these would be called retainers - as opposed to screws:

Here are the inners on ebay. Much cheaper than Nalley's.
Three available. That's the amount required - correct. Priced @ $8.95 per (non -auction/buy now):

They look a little different than yours but appear to be NOS/OEM and should fit and function the same:
