To start from the beginning, I wanted to carry out a race truck theme starting with a lowered stance and outrageously wide tires all way around. Installed Aero 15X10’s with M/T Sportsman 275/60R15’s. Short story, lowered 4”/7”, clearanced like crazy and they fit, no rubbing up or down, lock to lock, but couldn’t balance the shake out of the wheel/tire combo.(Hunter 9600series ground force and match mounting)
I trued tires in another life, so googled the nearest tire store that offered the service. They trued the tires, rebalanced, and the truck is as smooth as these squarebodies get.
Moral of this story:
Don’t buy Aero wheels
Don’t fight shake past a good balance. Just get the tires trued.

Well I'll be...
What about the wobble on their demo rim? And it's truing the tire right through the wobble...?
Is this why the tire is being cut? To compensate for the wobble?
If I had a rim out for true to that point i wouldn't run it on my wood truck.. weird.

+1 That wheel in the vid doesn't look centered at all. Looks like it is wobbling all over. He's gonna have to put even more weights on it after he cuts it down.

I really think the video is an exaggeration of what the machine “can” do. These truing services are usually for race tires and truck tires. Truing sometimes is the only way to run inexpensive tires on Local semis. Some racers true tires to the rim in sets.
Back in the bias tire days, an out of round tire was not as uncommon as today’s radials.
