Im currently running 15x10’s on all four with tires that measure 27” tall and 10” wide. I am lowered 2/4. My current rims are -44 offset/3.77” backspacing, which I don’t like. The rears are ok but the fronts stick out from fender at least 1” too much.
I want to switch to a 20” setup but not staggered.
Should I go with a 9” or 10” wide rim?
What offsets would you go with on each?
If I stay with a tire that measures max 27” tall x 10” wide, should I be ok with clearance? Don’t want any rubbing!
Thanks for all advice!!

Man I like that look you got already with the white letter tires. I'd stay with that but, I don't like 20" rims. Tires are too thin on those a nd it doesn't look the right era to me. Jmo

You need to separate the issues you’re trying to solve as you have to answer 1 thing before the other.

1. Rim width. Figure this out first based on width of tires you want to run.
2. Offset. You’ve answered your own question. If you have -44 wheels now and want them an inch further in, a -18 will do just that for 10 “ wides. If you go to 9” wide then -44 to -18 will be about 1-1/2” further in.
3. Since you’re staying similar tire diameter and width presumably, measure clearance of your current setup at full lock both directions and apply what you know will change with different offset or wheel width to make sure everything clears like it should before pulling the trigger on new wheels.
