Not so fast guys... the part suggested was for a Cadillac fleetwood glove box lock. Hoping it would be the correct size I ordered it. It was exactly the same as the glove box lock for my '83, too short. Back to the drawing board or junk yard, as it were. Like hunting diamonds in a parking lot. ugh
