I just inherited my grandpas 1975 gmc k15, I am trying to locate some replacement trim/molding, it had all fallen off. I have the trim but some of it is a little rough.

I can find the chrome version of the trim but not with the black inserts like I have.

Any help locating some replacement stuff would be a great help, thanks !

Looks like the same as I have on my 79 Scottsdale. I never have seen it any where to buy. Looking forward to what you end up with.

I actually noticed your trim in the hunt for finding the replacement, your truck looks nice.

I ended up purchasing from ebay today, its the same product as here.
http://www.cowlesproducts.com/protekto_truck.html the Silverado 2" chrome and black part #33-172

I measured the trim that fell of and it was 2 inches and the spear tips on the front and the tips/end covers on the rear are both 2 1/4, enough room for the 2" to slip under.

I should get it in a few days and will know then if it matches ;-)

thanks, runs great, only has 53k miles, some rust in the typical areas but overall not bad. My grandpa passed away earlier in the summer so I want to fix his old ride up ;-)

already put the different wheels tires, got a new bumper coming this week, the new trim later this week also. should start to look pretty good.

here is a pick of how it looked when I got it, kinda funny with the white walls.
