Hey Gang,
I been having issues with my electrical system this winter on my K30. First off its not stock, has a 12v Cummins in here. The Alternator that is on there is stock chevy 350. I do need a new alternator after making new grounds changing batteries etc etc. I am not sure what I have in it alt wise but from what I found its a low amp maybe 63. Seems to low since the truck is plowing, got lights on, eltric fan and heat. I cant seem to find an upgrade that would fit into the stock 2 wire plug in. Can anybody give me some advice on how to get the amps higher. Maybe to 100-140? All the 140 amp ones i find have a different connector in the back of the alternator.
Thanks
Chris
