78 K5 Blazer AC Retrofit with Factory Parts - Later condenser?

Hi all,

I've just purchased a 1978 GMC Jimmy (heat only cab) and am building the parts list for the addition of AC using the original-style system.

I read the existing threads and want to go with the factory setup over VintageAir etc as I want the parts availability of the factory-style system.

Parts List so far:
A6 Compressor (RockAuto)
Engine-side box with new evaporator and drier (Already purchased here on the forums)
Discharge line and suction A/C refrigerant line (A6 76-81 style, purchased here on the forums. If I go with the 85-91 style condenser these are too short.))
Wiring harness from Painless
Under dash box and controls, TBD (ThePartsGuy eBay refurb available)
Dash controls
Vacuum hoses, new Eckler Corvette (these look close enough?)

The 85-91 liquid line (part 7 in the pic) is available for $12.

My question to the experts here is, with a factory 78 core support is the '91 style condenser compatible?

In the '78 I see there's a set of hard lines between the condenser and the vacuum/suction lines. They appear to be NLA(no longer available) and squares are quite rare in junkyards here in South FL. If these pipes are available, that would make things easy.

Welcome any tips or advise on how to tacle this. The condensers appear to be quite cheap for either the newer or older style.

Solved.

The LMC diagram shows the wrong shape tubes. The 75-80 style condenser tubes are still available, they are more squared. 50-7580- A/C Condenser Tube Set from oldairproducts. Hopefully this is helpful to someone.
