That's a picture off the internet illustrating the spare tire fender indent. My uncle had one long ago. Never saw one on a 73+ square. Thought Clyde might just have swapped to an earlier year bed but something else is going on there.
Sorry I'm not more help.
The hunt for the parts you like best is part of the fun. Looks to maybe be an old Fey bumper. Hard to tell.

Nice truck. Stepsides are the coolest. The wheel cut makes it cooler than just a stepside.

Welcome from the Old Pueblo Tucson, AZ! My 78 Scottsdale 4x4 rode like a dang tank as well. She's going through a major overhaul right now and my next target is the front suspension. ORD or Offroad Design sells "custom springs" that use thinner spring coils but more of them. Many say the ride from a stock spring is night and day. They are a bit pricey but your truck being as beautiful as it is might deserve such an upgrade.
