Where can i find a open carrier?

Pick and pull , Last complete 14 was 100.00 , I took the open carrier out , put the detroit inside it and had the r&p set up in my housing , good to go!! and I got a good set of extra drum's out of the deal & extra axle's , (not that you will ever need those).

I would go get an open carrier and slap a detroit locker in there , then you are good to go . You can find 14 ff's at pick and pull with open carrier's for around a 100 buck's complete .

Certainly for the win. That would be my choice too, and I bet at my Pull A Part, it would be $40 or so. Although, they might get pissed too cuz I tore an axle apart. I gut transmissions in there and they won't sell me a drum, so fuggem, it goes in the bottom of my tool bag covered in tools. My money isn't good enough for you??? I'll take the bitch !!! :flipthebird:

Yes, $100 for a complete drum to drum here too. But, I bet they'd let me pull a carrier, cuz people gut those for spiders, drums, axle shafts, backing plates, they should be tickled if I took a carrier only. They're actually getting for the complete axle if it's gutted already.

How about an update Robert? How'd you do on this monster??? I'm finding out maybe G80 Gov Lok in the 14b FF isn't as bad as the other axles. Still not one of the better ones, but not as bad as the Gov Lok reputation is. We were just having this discussion on another thread helping a member ID his FF carrier which turns out to be a G80 Gov Lok.
