10 bolt front axle pinion snubber

I’m including a pic of this part. I’ve been told that if you got the z75 quad shock option you also got this little pinion snubber. Anyway, I’m trying to figure out how this mounts up. I was told it “hugs the passenger framerail and the rubber button is over the pumpkin”? Just want to make sure I’ve got the holes in the frame for this like I had for the quad shock mounts. Anyone got a truck with one of these on it who could snap a pic for me? Thanks!

Look At the passenger side of the pinion snout - you'll see some horizontal webbing that extends further than it needs to, the rubber bumper hits this. Iirc, the bracket fits under the bottom of the frame and bolts to the outside and inside the top lip.

If you have headers things may be tight.

thanks for the pic! I’ve got the holes in the frame for it. I got the bracket today. Took the rubber bumper off of it to have a little more room to work with getting it into place.. I’ve got stock 1987 truck manifolds, stock starter, etc. It’s pretty tight, I can’t quite get this where it needs to go. I’m going to try to jack the truck up on the frame and let the suspension hang on that side, see if that gives me the room to slide this into place. Anyone else ever installed/removed one of these without having to pull the truck apart to do it? Any tips?

Someone else sent me a pic of this actually on the framerail. Of course it’s a bare frame but I THINK I can get this in without having to take anything off.

Awesome. That’s what I needed to know. If you got it out without having to take anything else apart the I ought to be able to get it in the same way. After I take the kids to school, I’ll have daylight, I’ll get some 3/8 nuts and bolts and get that bracket in.

Got the pinion snubber bracket in. Jacked the truck up on the frame rail to drop the axle enough to have the room I needed to install it. 3 out of 4 holes on the bracket lined up with the holes in my frame. Both top bolts and the bottom left when facing it. The bottom right didn’t line up but I drilled the bracket over the hole already in the frame and that took care of that. Alls well that ends well.
