    1ST is a ported vacuum switch, part of emissions system, often deleted. 2nd pic I believe is a vacuum port for distributor, as some quadrajets apparently did not have vacuum ports, but I have never seen one of those in person. someone will chime in to offer another possible function.

    the old dimmer stitch on the floor could be used as a ignition hot wire interrupt switch on models with the dimmer on the t/s stalk. on models with the floor switch already in place, a hidden toggle switch could be used.
