    700r4 tv cable adjustment

    One thing to make sure happens when you adjust the TV cable is that it will downshift from 2nd to 1st at 20 MPH with full throttle. If it doesn't, you do not have enough throttle pressure. Adjust the cable a little until it does this test.

    TH350 from '84 GMC w/ 305. Trans appears to be leaking from the yoke on tailshaft.

    The hole in the end of the yoke is so there will not be a vacuum issue when the spline threads are new. After they wear, fluid can get into the yoke and leak out of the vent hole. Since the splines are worn theer is no need for the vant hole and it will work just great with a plug in it. I...

    700r4 leaking weephole on yoke

    Remove the driveshaft and install a rubber cup plug (like a wheel cylinder cup) into the end of the yoke with gasket sealer. The problem comes from the yoke splines wearing and letting fluid into the yoke. This fix has been done on many many vehicles over the years.

    I would check the float level with a tool to do so with the carb on the engine.
