    Show your daily driver

It's definitely a unicorn nowadays, the dealer couldn't locate a 2 door / manual trans anywhere within 1000 miles! We ordered it up from the factory, took 6 weeks to be built. If you have the time, check out YouTube for videos about the Jeep Assembly Complex in Toledo, OH. Truly impressive...

    Show your daily driver

My old daily driver was a 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek...it was a great car and served me well. I live in the rustbelt so after 150,000 miles and 11 WNY winters with heavy road salt it was time to trade it in. Picked up a 2025 Jeep Wrangler. 3.6L V6, 6spd Manual trans, 4.10 gears and rear locker.

Lookin for a replacement style mirror

You are correct. My passenger side mirror was broke so I purchased an aftermarket set (link in post#2 above). They attach to the door mounts different but will function just fine. I haven't swapped the drivers side mirror yet, no need to unless the original breaks. Only us squarebody...

Lookin for a replacement style mirror

I'd say they'll be ok for occasional towing. I believe the RPO code "DG4" on my SPID decodes as "mirror, west coast type, small". Grit dog: I assumed this was the OEM mount setup for my truck?

Lookin for a replacement style mirror

I've been trying to find a vendor for OEM style towing mirrors too...thanks for that link! I ordered 2 from them and will post pics when they arrive. Been driving around with just one original side mirror and it's on it's last legs...glass is loose and has a small crack.

3.08 Gears. What to Swap to?

My drivetrain is pretty much the same as yours: 1978 K10 with the original SBC 350, SM465, 32 inch tires, and 3.08 gears. I installed a tach last winter...at 60 mph I'm seeing 1950 RPM. I just used the calculator that Mike B linked above. and it shows 1940 RPM with my setup...close enough to...

Finally got a new mig welder

I picked up a Lincoln Power MIG 215 a few months ago. I'll be practicing / learning the basics over the winter. They taught us stick welding during High School shop class, but that was a LONG time ago. Gotta have the right tools to bring these trucks back to life!

What have you done to your square lately??

Quad Lock phone mount (I use them in my car and motorcycle too), swapped out the old cigarette lighter socket for a dual USB socket, and a very nice center console showed up yesterday.

What new tools have you got lately?

Klein MM450 Multimeter, I've been meaning to buy one for quite a while and finally justified the purchase for testing my new fuel sending units before buttoning everything up...glad I did, one was faulty! I'm wondering if anyone can identify this "tool thing" that the previous owner left behind...

What have you done to your square lately??

Finally putting the box back on. I had it off during the winter to clean up the frame. Decided to put a new trailer hitch on while I was at it.

Need advice on what to do with old bed liner and while we are at it sealing up these scratches.

After doing a search for "drop in bedliners" and reading through this entire thread, it appears that plastic drop in bedliners might still be available somewhere on the internet... I'm not having any luck finding a website that sells them. Can anyone provide a link? I have a 1978 K10 Longbed.

What have you done to your square lately??

I took the box off with the intent of cleaning and painting the frame...the weather hasn't cooperated so I found a few other items requiring attention. New rear brakes (including new stainless brake lines once frame is painted), new fuel tanks, and replacing all the cab mounts. Seems like one...

Building a bed from new parts- Front panel difference? ETA- Fixed using all AMD panels

I plan to do the same thing as kkgp81...all AMD panels for sure. Summit Racing in Ohio is close enough that making the roadtrip will be an enjoyable drive and I'll avoid the "oversized freight" shipping cost. Man I REALLY appreciate this forum! I never thought to check Summit locations for...
