Good Saturday to all. I have a good 4l60e transmission in a 2003 K1500 suburban and wasn't sure if it would work electronically with the 1996-99 or (97 more specifically) K1500 suburban. I did some searching and it seems like it might but I didn't get anything concrete.
Can't find the torque converter bolts for my th350 trans. Is it 3/8 or 7/16 or metric? And what grade is it? I'm going to the hardware store to see what I get based off what size sample bolts I can find however I'm sure some of you will know right off.
Spent the whole weekend with my son on his c10 restoring the exhaust and changing valve cover gaskets. It would have not been possible without a torch to heat and soak hardware with pb and reheat etc. I would have been searching for parts otherwise. it was fun doing the same thing to his truck...
Phase one completed, and Found the hardware ill be ordering to mount bed. I also really Wana get this hidden hitch roll pan kit. Roll pan with hardware by itself is only $70 and I probably already have the hitch and swing plate bracket.
Ive never lowered anything before. Thinking about how to lower it 3"-4" or so. Probably spring under in the rear? And front lowering springs? Or drop spindles better?
Started it and limped it over to get the new bed sitting on there and does it look good! Pics coming soon. Need to order bed bolts and rubber pads and I'm going with a roll pan.

going to be pulling a cab off with front clip attached. What is the best way to secure it to pick it up? I plan to use a tractor and chain/straps to pick it up but don't want to bend anything.
I've moved around cabs for scrap before by going through open windows and picking it up that way but...
