1990 suburban Factory roof rack location
Purchased a factory roof rack and need the close to exact location to mount it please . I can go by other pics but would be preferable to have the proper location if someone could take measurements. Was my own dumb fault not to measure off the junk burb but completely forgot. Thanks guys -
87 barn doors
wrestled with mine for nearly 4 hours after installing new weather-stripping . i made the mistake of loosening the hinges and shimming the hinge plates . butchered up the weather-strip before buying new ones and using baby powder to make them fit better .- tater dog

What have you done to your square lately??
Installed this heater hose valve to try and keep as much heat out of the cab . It’s been hotter than a Stihl chainsaw in a Kansas City pawn shop so everything helps . Been running it in 100f plus temps so we’ll see . -
Fusible link replacement
This fusible link wire going to my junction block appears to be worn on top . I assume the plastic block circled is where the normal wire and fusible link wire are joined ? To replace it do I just cut that normal wire below the block and splice in another fusible link wire ? Cheers- tater dog

i feel your pain bro . my wife had cancer for over two years and was the scariest I've ever been . was all prepared to sell literally everything and live in a camper . luckily it didn't come to that . that's a sweet looking rig , love everything about it . good luck mate . -

Carpet colors?
just so you know i ordered mine from ACC . fit was ok but the foot pad thing under the pedals was way off . there was no way i could move it around to fit and have it lined up . probably a friday carpet -

Ugh that sucks . They are only about $30 but I already had two working ones , just both needles missing -

Huh never thought of that . Mine was rusty so cut it out and made a new one -

Guess these pointers on the gear selectors break off easy . Used a pen top to replace an otherwise working part . -

1972 Buick Electra custom . Had 40k mikes on it when I got it . Very clean and comfortable ride . Placed at car shows , loved it .- tater dog

yea same kind of thing attaching a side cable to a top post . i looked for that kind first but the ones at the parts store looked cheaply made . forget where i got mine but are holding up good so far . another reason i hate side posts is that the thread for the tiny bolt is inside the battery ... -

oh yea i knew that . this way i didnt have to cut my side connections off , just use the adapter to top post . i can use both side and top batteries with this set up and keep my original cables which are in good condition -

I hate side post terminals with a passion . Plus it’s difficult to connect jumper cables to . Will be doing this to all side terminal vehicles I buy now -

Yep . i should say that personally i hate night driving for those reasons you stated . older guy here and cant drive 12 hours straight any more like i used to . also more chance of hitting wilds animals and lets not forget the boogyman comes out at night- tater dog
