    K10 Rear Hubcap

I’m on the casual hunt for one rear hubcap for my K10. Like this one…

Ol’ Bonnie looks kinda silly now…

The boy left Ol’ Bonnie at home while he went off to college. He ended up buying a different pickup. It had goofy 20” wheels/lo-pro tires on it that he couldn’t stand. So he swapped the wheels with Ol’ Bonnie for now. Poor ol’ girl…

    Bonnie is a little nekkid…

The boy started peeling back layers of carpet and padding to tend to some rust. It’s a little more than he expected…

    Scored another square today…

Asked a neighbor kid if he wanted to trade my aluminum wheels for his factory steelies and hubcaps. Ended up buying the whole thing for $500. 350, auto, 4x4, A/C, cruise. Runs, drives. Figured I could scavenge parts for my ‘77 and my boy’s ‘79 and still come out ahead on parting out the rest.

    Tire size question…

I had plans of getting STA Super Traxion L78 tires for my ‘77, but they are on back order until August, per Coker. I also considered 33x10.5r15 BFGs, but they, too, seem to be made of unobtainium. What other options would you recommend for a K10? I prefer skinny-ish, but wouldn’t mind a bit...

    Single DIN to shaft style?

Has anyone ever gone back from a single DIN to a shaft style radio? I would think it would be doable with with either donor dash metal or a new weld in piece. My ‘77 is cut, my son’s ‘79 is not, but he wants it to be. I’m not doing a full restore, but I would like to go retro and put in his...

    Marker Light Question…

My son is adding rooftop marker/clearance lights to his ‘79. How was the wiring for these ran? Is the windshield post hollow? Or does it go down the back corner of the cab and then up to the dash?

What wheels came on my ‘77?

Is there a way, either by VIN or build sheet, to determine exactly what wheels my ‘77 K10 rolled off the line with?

    “Bonnie”

In my introduction, I referenced my son’s ‘79 K25, affectionately known as “Bonnie”. Figured I’d share a pic. 400, 4-speed, 4” on 35x12.5x18. It’s rough, but mechanically sound. He loves her! Boys…

Did GM ever offer a six hole 16.5 wheel?

    Cussin’ a Quadrajet!

I mentioned in my introduction post that my new-to-me ‘77 fired up with a few pumps after an untold number of months in the tree row. This morning, I went out to start it and NO GO! Grrrr!!! Tinkered and fiddled, all the while cussing that over complicated blankety-blankin’ “Quadrajunk”...

    New member here!

Hello! New member here from western Nebraska. Slowly working my way through the forum. Lots of good info! My son bought a rough ‘79 K25 a couple of years ago when he was fifteen. Been helping him work on it. Very rough body, every system needs work. But it’s fun to work on it with him...
