Remove accessories from this old truck?

They would have been off, before I could have even thought about starting a thread on it.

    86 c10-silverado

Does your truck have its original engine in it?..or just an empty engine bay? Being it's a Silverado it probably came with a/c, p/s, etc. Bracketry will be needed to retain those factory options. Water outlet, may be facing a different direction, requiring a different upper radiator hose. If you...

NEW PORT ENGINEERING. Wiper motors (new) anyone bought this yet? Pic inside

I haven't for these trucks. But I've had several '40 Ford p/u's, and have used Newport wipers for them...a quality product.

    Dieseling sometimes when hot

Pull/inspect spark plugs, they will let you know how efficient they are performing...I'm of the belief you will need to go to hotter, or colder plug, determined by what you find on your inspection of the old ones.

    Advice Needed Please!

I agree with @Ricko1966....start with a simple starting/running circuit, and go from there. The truck will let you know what is next to be dealt with.

First time replacing intake manifold gaskets

I use Fel-Pro intake gaskets...throw away the black rubber front and rear seals and run a bead of Permatex RTV silicone gasket maker instead. Distributor timing has already been covered, I will add though, it really isn't as scary as it may seem.

    Getting quotes for paint/body work

I've painted several of my own cars, none have been Pebble Beach quality, but acceptable to me (which really is all that should matter). I've used Acrylic enamel, and also Acrylic urethane from TCP Global out of California, sent to my door. Very affordable prices. Prep is everything. I will be...

    Rised white letter or blackwall

I would NEVER run white letter tires on my coupe, or anything else for that matter.

    Rised white letter or blackwall

So, I have to ask...do you believe white letter tires would enhance my coupe?

    Rised white letter or blackwall

Never white letters out. White letter tires detract/bring attention to them rather then the overall appearance of a nice, classy pickup. As much as tires cost these days, I'll be Damned if I'll advertise for the tire company to, even if they paid me to, which of course they don't.

    Wheel/Tire Opinion

Okay, you asked...no white letter tires. Size? Your current size appears appropriate for your current wheel size.

    Gasket for this part

Good time to inspect all of the chassis components. I suspect other components will be in similar condition.

    LMC Parts

When/if ordering multiple parts from Rock Auto, be aware of where they are being shipped from, the different locations they ship from (on the same order) can get spendy in a hurry.

If you ever have the need to replace it, refer to it as a "dimmer switch"..that's what name it is recognized as.

    No CRANK after rain......

Now is not the time to be vague. No crank after it rains..so, if you wash your truck it won't start either? "will start after everything dries up"..how do you dry everything, and what exactly are you drying? Does it happen at operating temperature? Does the truck have to be cold to start again?
