Upgrade 1/2 ton suburban to 3/4 ton
Can anyone detail what would be involved in converting an 88' 1/2 ton 4x4 burb to 3/4 ton? Are the frames the same in ways of mounts etc.. Trying to figure out if I'm better off just getting a 3/4 ton or modifying my current rig since the suspension has had it's day and needs to be replaced.- BR@NDON

How much was your paint job?
The wife wants to get the 88 suburban painted. It's solid white but has minor (very minor) surface rust and a decent amount of chips etc. There is only one dent above the back taillight. Talgate window seal install
I am replacing the window seals on my tailgate and am stuck on installing the inner seal which attaches to the plastic trim piece that fixes to the inside of the tailgate. The factory stapled through the sheet metal seal into the the plastic trim, however I don't know what tool to use that will... -
Fuel tank sending unit leak
I am trying to source a fuel leak. I can smell the fumes whenever I'm around the back of the burb. No puddles or wet stuff anywhere so I popped the hatch that the PO cut in the floorboard to check out the sending unit. One of the four tubes coming out of the thing has dark cruddy dirt on it...- BR@NDON

a/c heater control cable source
The plastic parts where my hot/cold control cable bolts up and the little piece that screws into the blend door are both broken on the 1988 Suburban. I haven't found a source for replacement yet. Any leads on replacement parts? LMC has the hot/cold cable listed in catalog as #30-1456 but it... -
Adding shoulder belts to back rows in 88 suburban
Has anybody added shoulder belts to the middle and back row? It looks like the ones that are for sale at LMC are only for the front driver and passenger. Just looking around for info or if anyone has belts for sale. -
88 Suburban 5.7 TBI chip
My suburban isn't passing emissions. The guy that I bought it from said he "thinks" it has a chip in it. I'm learning TBI with this truck so - any pointers on where to find the chip and how to identify it?- BR@NDON
