    I just don't run stock oilpumps,and never experienced this much pressure drop from below 30psi.Not saying you are running stock pump.I just never have on any build.

    A friends shop replaced a 240k blown engine in a ladies car.She towed the car in two weeks later claiming they tore her transmission up.He asks her a simple question.If your engine can go bad at 240k,do you think that same miles might do the same to your transmission.She didn't want to accept...

    Everyone builds stuff with chinesium and every vehicle has those parts.How can they compete between two of the same inferior products? It is a mess dealing with a so called global economy.When most everything comes from the same China.

    No they did not.But they were Delphi.My Carquest"by Carter" pump does though.My original pump from factory had a return spring.I replaced the original pump in about 2003 and it def. had that spring.

    After multiple fuel pump failures I got a Carter from Advance Auto.It was labeled as Carquest pump made by Carter.So far so good.The others failed in about 100 miles more or less.One of the bad pumps started knocking loudly,and still pumped.Replaced it with this Carter

    My np 203 calls for 10w30 motor oil.My 5spd ford stick called for atf.Other sticks called for 90w gear oil.Times change from the 60s and 70s.

    All my 70s trucks did not call for atf.My 60s Ford cars did.I dont think a 70s Chevy can be hurt by atf tho.So it seems.But I believe some units can eventually develop a squeaI with atf.I flush my power steering every 3rd year anyway.

    I've went thru 2 or 3 new fuel pumps recently.Neither had anymore than 1 to 2 hundred miles on them.Got stuck on road twice.One pump was just noisy as could be.Napa pumps.I'm using a carquest carter pump now.150 miles and counting.Bad manufacturing everywhere China touches.And is it easy enuff...

    My 77 k10 automatic has a np203 fulltime case and of course no locking hubs.And I only need a locking gas cap for vehicle theft.If they can't stop soon and put gas in....they can't get away.

    help me find this ticking noise on my truck ( 1978 Chevy C10 305 )

    I've had exhaust noise before.If it quits ticking after warmup,you may have a cracked manifold.I had a cracked piece of tubing on a exhaust manifold once,it drove me nuts till we found it.A stethoscope or a screwdriver to the ear may help locate

    Maybe the early evap flapper on the right side exhaust rattling.My old van did that,it was a 75 model 350 tho.It was where the pipe connects to the manifold on mine

    I had one that whined like that for about 1 week maybe,and the whining stopped.It turned out to be a good one
