NV4500 Help
No I don't know the history of it. It was in the truck when I bought it. I do know when I bought the truck I knew it needed a throw out bearing and clutch linkage was not right. I could get it to change gears but it would grind on almost every shift. Wasn't sure if that was clutch not operating...- Jackie

I have a early model of the GM NV4500 that I am fixing to install in my 77 K20. I was wondering if there is a way to inspect the synchros before installing it into truck.- Jackie

Aftermarket bed issues
I am seeking some info. I just bought a 77 long bed and it has a aftermarket bed on it. The problem is that on the driver side the seems to line up well on that side of the truck but on the passenger side of the truck the bed looks about 3/4 of a inch wider than the cab. increasing value of truck?
Thanks for all the info guys. Truck now has a fresh rebuild 350 with 4 speed manual 4x4. Was planning on a tbi and nv4500 swap. But came across a wreck truck with 6.0 automatic 4x4. Was told for 1000.00. Just weighing options. Truck is and will be my daily.- Jackie

increasing value of truck?
I have a 81 k20. Would a complete swap of a LS motor, trans, and transfer case increase the value of a truck. About how much increase could we be seeing with the swap?- Jackie

New guy with first square body
Project truck and daily driver. 1981 k20 with crate 350 (4500 miles on it) with granny low 4 speed. Interior is great shape with new bench seat, dash pad, and paint. Exterior is rhino lined with diy liner. Body is straight with no visible rust. Ran around body with magnet and all seemed good...- Jackie
