These are good, but tricky, questions. In regards to dropping a torque wrench, it again depends on what you are torquing and what type of accuracy you need. It is recommended by every torque wrench manufacturer (and often required by many shops/ assembly lines) that you have a torque wrench...- blmw

In regards to calibration - all torque wrenches need to be re-calibrated at some point in time. The only exception to this is the traditional Beam Style Wrenches - since you can see if the pointer is still at zero (and if it is not, you can just bend it back into position). Our warranty is industry standard: 1 year from date of purchase, 90 days for calibration. We have a repair/calibration in Chicago in case anything does need to be done to the wrench. BLMW- blmw
