How much fender trimming for 35s ?

Lift is unknown got it off a guy getting rid of a frame he bought. Mostly going to be normal midwest trails, lots of mud, some water and unmaintained township roads. I planned on cutting almost to the vertical side marker light on my 77 up about 3 inches and back a few inches. It fit 33x12.50...

    Gauge Cluster Swap

So I was able to pick up a gauge cluster for free today when getting some 0arts off an old square. One thing I snagged was the gauge cluster as it has actual gauges instead of the warning light system I have. The donor truck is a 1979 c20 custom deluxe key truck is a 1977 k10 custom deluxe. The...

K10 lift kit fit 1 ton axles ?

I've done some looking on here and another sb site and have heard that it is weaker than springs. Mainly due to the fact that they are hung down and such. No clue if it's TRUE or not just have I've seen here and there. I'm just planning on an all spring lift for simplicity of buying and...

    400 SBC vs 454 BBC

Yea I can see that the cylinders are siamesed along with little meat to them compared to my 454. Doesn't mean it's a bad motor just have to be careful with it. I am planning on using the 454 but the 400 will probably go in a smaller car for drag racing or street/strip.

K10 lift kit fit 1 ton axles ?

Hey guys so my big plan is to run a 3/4 ton k20 rear axle 14 bolt ff and a one ton dana 60 front axle. This is some more in the future when room and sunlight becomes more available. I want to lift the truck now to help fit some 35" tires and for better off road clearances. I was just wondering...

    400 SBC vs 454 BBC

    400 SBC vs 454 BBC

Yea I've done some reading on the 400 and kind of like the 400. But I would like to be in the upper 400s for hp/torque, forgot to say that in opening post my bad, and I know that is much easier with the bbc. But I know that a 400 SBC isn't too far off in terms of torque. It's a bare block...
