Muffler upgrade that make stock exhaust roar with be abnoxus
Run the muffler as close to the front as you can and then as much straight tailpipe as you can. Everybody will hate you, it will be noisy.- WesN

cargo light/ 3rd brake light install
I have made my roof light into a cargo/high mount brake light using some led bulb and tied into the brake switch wire. I did that for safety because my truck is lowered and hopefully a new raised Denali that’s on my ass will be able to see when I’m braking. It was foggy so pic is not perfect but... -
Upper Door seal question
I installed the secondary seals on my 81 Sierra Classic because it came with them. Problem is the aftermarket seals are not the same as oem and make it so you have to slam the door for it to close completely it has sat in a heated garage with the doors closed tight over a winter and still too...- WesN

Need real-world exhaust advise
Headers, 2 1/2” pipe, “turbo style mufflers” and turn downs gave horrible drone at some rpm. The fix was to install a crossover pipe. I made it so it could be removed with one side so I can remove the exhaust one side at a time and don’t have to fight with the whole thing. Anyway the end result...- WesN

85 K10 with stacked headlights - are these connectors correct?
I on purpose moved my low beams to the bottom due to getting caught is snow storms returning from snowmobile races. It helped tremendously to cut down the flair up and makes it easier on the eyes and brain. Southern guy probably won’t know what I’m talking about. Side effect it makes it look...- WesN

1984 c10 Door Alignment
Did the door get replaced? I purchased two new doors from GM and they fit like yours gaps at back, bottom and front are very nice but the top sucks. I was going to remove my drip rail at one time but after removing them the gap on top look worse so I just put them back on. Weld a 1/8” rod on top...- WesN

Stock type front sway bar or end link type?

New Speedometer Question
1981-1983 use a mechanical/electric resumeable cruise control with speedo cable in and out. 1984 and up use an electronic cruise control which would require a VSS tied in with no speedo cables attached to the cruise control.- WesN

Factory air cleaner/cold air setup?
I was told on the 81’s the snorkel was on one side for the v8’s and on the other side for the v6’s. GM put the knockout on both side but only used one. I just used the parts from another v8 and weld it on and knocked out the other plug. The plastic part that twists into the rad support works... -
Did I ruin this pinion bearing?
I’m too late but wanted to tell you to put it in with the burner bearing just to check depth so when you go to put on another bearing you can change the shim if required.- WesN

It’s not fast but is consistent. Normally 15.2-15.4 depending on the day. Short block has never been out of the truck, pan has a slight leak kind of a sweat but it’s never been off so it deserves to sweat a little. Heads were touched up back in the 80’s and now has a Crane cam, Edelbrock... -
