    Cigarette lighter woes 1983 k25

I was double checking had power at the lighter socket, grounded it out by accident blew the fuse. Only had a 25 amp fuse left(I did that a couple times the other night) thru it in and everything works . Lighter heats up, lights stay off, lights turn on when I turn the switch. Yeah I don't know...

    Cigarette lighter woes 1983 k25

Yeah that wiring is what I got going on too. Could these door plunger things be the culprit? They too have never worked lol If they are would unhooking them solve the issue you figure? Drivers side is broken/missing plunger piece

I'll do some more digging around see if I missed a wire. That orange wire was just sitting there I assumed that's what it went to

    Windshield washer motor questions

The pump never worked since I've had it. My switch must be bad, the wires both are + and nothing changes when I hit the switch. The pump I plan on using works I hooked it up to test in the second pic and it turned on(whichever way you moved the switch) *I took the switch apart and cleaned it up...

    Windshield washer motor questions

That plug you're tied into, from what I understand they're both + and when you engage the washer switch one of those wires grounds out? I'm just trying the same thing and nothing happens when I hit the switch .(Stays +) I took the switch apart, it was a little dirty but didn't change anything...

    Radio knob

I threw the stock am Delco radio back in, I forgot I never had the knobs/fader for it. Is there a cheap alternative to spending $90 on replacement knobs or buying a new radio. I can probably make something I was just curious if there was something obvious

    Dash pad options

So I originally was just going to patch the dash but as I was trenching out the cracks kept cracking and the foam underneath was pretty well dust held together by the vinyl. So I peeled it and ground off(just took the big chunks out underneath) There's a pretty solid dent above the cluster area...

    Key release on column stuck

I will take everything apart further once it warms up and check it out. From what I could see is the rod and steering lock nub were engaging almost all the way when I had it apart.

    Key release on column stuck

So I replaced my ignition cylinder, old One key came out in any position and was borderline about to snap in half(plus the chrome piece had disappeared a while ago). Put new one in it cycles fine but to release the key I gotta jerk that release super hard to get it to move and is really loud. I...

    Hot contact bolts

I didn't mean to answer my own question but incase anyone else ever needs it bolts I ended up using had this stamped on the head O.F 8.8 Were 1" long, I cut them to about 11/16. Maybe grab a nut for them too so you can chase the threads after cutting, I didn't and it took a while to fix them.

    Hot contact bolts

    4x4 selector trim piece

Probably the last update but the only concern I had was the cold and the glue but so far so good. Took it apart and nothing's cracked yet.

    4x4 selector trim piece

Been a while but I slapped it back together. Cut a piece out of plastic tote lid, trimmed it made a base, glued it to the bottom, glued the broken piece on and added a strip on top to make more ridged. We'll see how it holds up but figured I'd show what I did
