Damaged wires on firewall about 2 inches from fuse box

Most fuse panels are servicable. Considering that squares run blade fuses I would imagine a small pick tool can undo the little clip that keeps the female spades in the fuse box and receive the fuse. Once the spade is out you can order new connectors, some wire, and get to repairing the panel...

Is anyone having any luck buying a vehicle from Craigslist/Facebook Marketplace right now?

Yea i dont blame ya. I've adjusted my range down so if i'm sitting on one for a while its not a killer. I just recently was able to off a 2015 Wrangler Sahara, thankfully. Its tough finding the right buyer for a salvage vehicle when your talking almost 20k

Is anyone having any luck buying a vehicle from Craigslist/Facebook Marketplace right now?

I've been dabbling in salvage flips since the summer and its been wild. Normal priced and deal FB and CL finds are still there you just need to look all the time, contact right away, and hope the person gets back to you. Any one of those things dont happen and you're s.o.l. The salvage market...

I think 96+ "Vortec" engines have no mechanical fuel pump provision, you also have to contend with the different intake mounting angle if you keep the vortec heads. Its all been done and isnt much to overcome.

    12valve/nv4500 into 79’ K30

There are some pretty bright red flags for me. For the amount of money you are spending at the shop I would expect to see more details on parts being used. (year of donor truck, 12v engines vary in power year over year, part numbers or at least brand name or power level of hard parts). I can...

    Tires?

This article is a couple of years old so a little additional research may be needed but check it out: https://www.utires.com/articles/tires-made-usa-american-foreign-brands/ Sumitomo tires also opened a plant in the US a few years ago. I would imagine its still active. They make Falken tires as...

    Old Tractors

Thats the plan. I'd like to get a skid steer down the line but for now this tractor would be used with the FEL and a bale spear. Probably get forks too since I'm always getting myself into situations I shouldnt haha.

    Old Tractors

Picked this up last year with about 2000 hours. Its an 84 Massey Ferguson 240. Has the loader that I leave on all the time, but its pretty easy to remove. May consider switching to quick attach for a little more options up front. I dunno. I'd like to get a 4wd unit with a little more power in...

Should I make a daily from my "parts truck" 76 GMC....??

If its that close to being a daily then fix it up. Drive it for a bit and sell it as a runner after your're done. I cant get behind the header idea, too loud, and cutting through the hood would be a no go for me but I do think it would turn a bunch of heads. Plus the constant covering of the...

Good Source For Those "Blanket" Seat Covers

Ive heard them called Falsa blankets. I bought one for my s10 farm truck to protect the seat from dirt and dog paws. Its a bench seat and I used bed sheet clips, or sofa cover clips (whatever you want to call them) to take up the slack from behind and under. Its an off road only vehicle so I...

Amber turn signals were used in all GMT800 Sierras and i believe 99-02 Silverados. They should be the same shape, I cant imagine GM using different beds for those trucks. So any year bed from 99-07 classic should accept the lights with amber turns. Is the 07 an NBS or GMT800? I think it will...

    82 Dodge D 350... Hate to ask....

If it hasnt rusted apart yet then go for it. 360s are plenty reliable and have tons of aftermarket support if you want some more umph out of it. Not sure on dodge manuals. Rear axle should be a dana 70 which is stout. I like old dodges and actually bought an old municipality welding rig. Its a...

    Suburban Project- Need Help!

If this isnt going to be a daily driver then register it in Montana via a corporation or through Vermont. No smog in either jurisdiction and i'm willing to bet there are plenty of people in SoCal with Montana tags who dont want to pay crazy taxes on their Lambo. Engine-wise, I would stick with...

SUBURBAN REAR DOOR CONDUIT "where to find?"

I'll have a look next time i'm at the u pull it yard by me. There was a barn door burb there a few weeks ago, no promises if its there now though. You can also call up Sibums in Stroudsburg PA. They had a few square burbs, dunno if they ship. Its not a bad ride from Lawnguy Land if they dont.

SUBURBAN REAR DOOR CONDUIT "where to find?"

I dont think those are reproduced. You can hodge podge your own, repair the existing one, or junkyard dive. For what its worth I think that that driver and passenger side rear are the same. Luckily there were millions of these made and finding a good used one shouldnt be impossible.

There are sender adapters available that allow your existing senders to thread into the LS block keeping your existing gauges. You will need a pass through VSS signal generator that will create a VSS pulse for the 0411 PCM while retaining your cable driven speedo.

If you havent already, go ahead and replace your mounts and bushings (engine, trans, body, control arm, sway bar, etc). Chances are they are failed OEM rubber units. Replacing these with polyurethane units will give you a firmer overall feel and better connection to the road. Some complain about...

Looking into a new compact car.

I briefly owned a 2000 Jetta with the TDI but it had an auto...and valve body issues. Two reman valve bodies later I sold it. I did drop larger injectors and tune into it. Would get 40-42 mpg and the tune helped it get up hill. I'm glad I got rid of it though.
