    HEI coil pack removal

Better late than never right? So after rain then a cold spell and finally a bout with a stomach virus I made a little progress on her lol! Got the new (ugly) cap and rotor on, along with new plugs and wires. And I finally took some pics lol. She might be ugly but at least she's mine. Apologies...

    HEI coil pack removal

Sorry! Didn't think you guys would want to see my dirty ugly engine bay lol and it's been raining last couple days as well. When I go back out to install the new plugs and wires I'll get a pic.

    HEI coil pack removal

Pretty sure I already cracked the old cap trying to get my screwdriver in but oh well. When it wouldn't come out I assumed I was doing something wrong. Thanks again!

    HEI coil pack removal

That's what I was attempting to do at first but was afraid of hurting something. Figured I'd better check with the experts here before breaking my coil pack lol thanks

    HEI coil pack removal

Attempting my first ever cap & rotor replacement but hit a roadblock... I can't for the life of me get the coil pack to come out of the cap. Any tips or tricks to get this thing out? The 4 screws are out and both plugs on the end are out. Thanks guys

    New exhaust going on soon

Well we got rained out last week but finally got the headers on today. Unfortunately the exhaust setup I got won't fit so going to have to have it altered. I guess the Blazers use a different cross member? At least the headers went on with no major issues!

    New exhaust going on soon

Definitely. Carb and timing are going to be set by a buddy of mine that used to build engines.

    New exhaust going on soon

In my area the majority of trucks are straight piped good ol' boy trucks lol, I personally don't like the raspy straight pipe sound but I do want her to sound good. Should compliment the Edelbrock 1406 carb and Performer intake that are going on soon as well. I'll try and get a clip of it after...

    New exhaust going on soon

I do! I had dual Flowmaster 10 series on my Camaro in high school lol. I figure this setup has got to sound better than factory logs and multiple leaks the stock exhaust has.

    New exhaust going on soon

This is the k5 the system was on. Not my style but to each his own lol Guy was cool and had several squares in various stages of restomod.

    New exhaust going on soon

A while back I picked up some exhaust for the truck. Guy had a k5 he'd lowered (slammed?) and went with a better fitting system. So I got longtube headers, already fabbed 3" pipe with crossover and flow master super 40's with turn downs for just under $200! My dad is coming over Sunday to help...

    Major PS leak

Decided to try the easier thing first and added plumbers tape to the threads. Also made sure to keep the line firmly against the back of the nut as I tightened it down. So far no leaks! Still need to do a test drive and double check everything but I think she's good to go. Thank you guys so much...

    Major PS leak

So I'm going to remove the pump and belt and probably do a rebuild on it. Pretty sure my issue is inside the pump. Is it ok to still run the truck without them on the engine? I ask because the belt goes around the fan and crank pullies. The alternator/ac belt drives the fan and crank pulley also...

    Major PS leak

That is some great info! I'm curious if that o ring you mention inside that adapter is to blame, since it had a PS leak before I changed the lines. Is that piece something can be ordered at a major parts chain?

    Major PS leak

It's entirely possible, as hard a time as I was having with that connection. Will be taking it apart and checking everything and adding plumbers tape. Thanks!

    Major PS leak

Will try that. Thank you for your help

    Major PS leak

Yes sir. Tried and tried again and can't get them any tighter.

    Major PS leak

No sir mine looks like this which exactly matched the new line's end.

    Major PS leak

This is the line I bought. That little yellow thing was a plastic cap.

    Major PS leak

Didn't know there was supposed to be one... New lines didn't come with one and there wasn't one on the old line when removed.

    Major PS leak

So I replaced the PS lines to try and fix a leak. Now it's steadily leaking fluid when the truck is running. Turning the wheel results in it gushing out. Coming from the pressure line where it meets the back of the reservoir. I've triple checked and can't get the nuts any tighter. You guys got...

What have you done to your square lately??

Replaced the power steering lines on the GMC in hopes of fixing a leak. Also have an edelbrock carb and intake manifold I scored for $100 to clean up.

    Hello from South Carolina

I think she'll stay as is for now. Would love to do an Ls swap or 383/th400 combo but have too many other obligations at the moment.
