    whooshing sound from under the dash when I press on the brakes

    I am getting a whooshing sound from under the dash when I step on the brakes, it goes away after i pump the peddle a few times. Any ideas?? 1987 GMC V2500.All the brakes are new with zero miles on them,new calipers and rear wheel cylinders as well as new master cylinder!

    Just rebuilt my TBI. fired right up but after a couple minutes the idle would drop then come back up? no codes to see maybe throttle position sensor? runs good other than the idle dropping the rising back to normal. Any ideas??thanks

    anybody ever remove the springs on a TBI throttle shaft?

    posted in here earlier, thinking of removing the springs on my TBI and going with regular return spring like a carb set up. seems to be overkill on the spring tension and would make for a softer pedal,easier to feather into the throttle. Any thoughts??

    Has anyone tried to reduce the throttle return spring tension on a 5.7 throttle body? seems kind overly stiff. Anyone just remove those springs and use regular springs like on a carb?

    bulb socket for transfer case shifter cover.

    any one know where to find the bulb socket for the transfer case boot cover? this is on my 87 gmc v2500. Mine has 3 wires coming out of it, or will a standard side marker light socket work? its a push in and twist type socket, thanks

    gasket sealer for transmission pan gasket ???

    just got a drain plug welded in, should I use a gasket sealer or will the plain gasket do the trick?? I usually use right stuff sealer, no leaks!!

    brake rod from vacuume booster

    anyone know off hand how far out of the booster the rod usually sticks out that goes into the master cylinder?? Just changed my master cylinder, seems it should maybe stick out a bit further. Thanks

    is it common to not get much if any bubbles from the front reservoir while bench bleeding a master cylinder

    I am bench bleeding a new master cylinder for my brakes on my 87 GMC, Is it common to not get many bubbles from the front reservoir if any at all? Back res is doing fine but very little action from the front!

    after a winters worth or chasing wiring gremlins,bad grounds,shorted wires,and a bad turn signal switch, I finall got everything working!! just put in the new printed circuit,gave it a test and it all works!!
