K5 clunk sound on potholes
Check the shock mounting bolts. If the metal spring rolls in the shock eyes are larger than the bolts (by too much) the play/slop will cause a clunk in the front shocks.- Oldrider

Hvac stuff from 85 with ac
I would be interested in the under dash stuff. I have an 85 that was ordered as heat only. -

Gas tank replacement
Hoping the other guys will respond. I replaced my tank (85) some 12 years ago and I don't remember what I used. I think it was some old rubber belt from work. -

Top Speed Roughly??
Don't know what your top speed may be but I will offer that my 85 has never seen over 80 with the BFG 33's. Street tires would make a big difference.- Oldrider

To make sure we understand, you have pulled the plugs and verified TDC for the #1 piston and set the distributor so that cyl. should get fire?- Oldrider

Please help paint code/color
Go to one of your local automotive stores that sells paint. They should have the books with chip colors. Look through the samples and pick what you want. I agree that the truck in the photo is most likely not a factory color.- Oldrider

this is the oddest thing thing..ever..i have no headlights after changing my WP
LOL. I have to agree that you probably upset the wiring while working on the wp. the old wiring does not like to be squished or moved around.- Oldrider
