Welcome. I dabble in jeeps as well. My wife has an 84 cj7 that is currently needing an engine. Had a 258 that ate a piston. Considering all swaps, but id like to build another 258 for it with a bigger cam an 4.0 head. Anyway, :Dwelcome from southern Missouri!:waytogo:- K201979

Caliper noise!!!!!!!!
Do you have the spring clips holding the inner pads to the pistons installed? -
Engine Detailing?
Super clean used to be a lot better/stonger, but iirc it still works pretty good. Id say spray, soak, scrub, rinse, repeat and it'll take the grime off. Wear gloves, it'll eat you up. Good luck and i look forward to seeing some sparkly, clean engine pics! -

New owner but older person,,,,
Neutal saftey switch, i think, is supposed to be on the column in the lower dash area. I am not sure tho because mine hangs loose(havnt had the time(or ambition) to get under the dash yet). I'll need tons of help
The bounce and shimmy, could it be tires? Bad belt or wheel weights missing? Clunck could be slack in the chain in the transfer case, if its a np203, like mine. Also, if it is a full time transfer case especially, the clunck could just be small amounts of slack in many places in the driveline...- K201979
