Not exactly "shorties" but definitely not long tube but excellent quality... 2” primaries are in no way to large for a 572, that is actually the smallest primary recommended, you can get away with smaller but very restrictive, mine was dyno tuned sporting 2.25” primaries and I’m cammed on the aggressive side of correct for a 4,500 pound vehicle… My BB8’s are 1-7/8” and...- Fastduramax

Starter shims?
Take a big ass flat tip screw driver slide the gear into your flywheel when you can tightly slide a paper clip between the teeth you are shimmed correctly, on my 572 I actually had to machine 80 thousandths off my starter block, that’s something to watch for also…- Fastduramax
