    PAINTING FRAME

I paint nearly everything with Rustoleum Heavy Rust Primer and Rustoleum semi-flat. Takes awhile to dry, but holds up great.

    Tool Box

This is what I see on my screen, I just drag my cursor over it like I'm going to copy and paste it and it shows up fine.

    New trans

That's what MOnster pulled on me. First it was, oh our warranty doesn't cover home installs... Then it was, oh, you didn't use an approved shop... An ATRA shop isn't approved? Lol.

    Tool Box

Buying a used box does nothing to help them lol. They sell new boxes. But I agree with @skysurfer if you like it, and that's what you want, go ahead. 1500 seems to be the going rate I see on Snap On rollers.

    Rust covertors

When I can't sand it clean or sand blast it, I use phosphoric acid as well. It's the active ingredient in most miracle rust cures.

    New trans

Welcome! No experience at all with Patriot transmission. I would recommend a local shop if at all possible, it's always nice to be able to go grab ahold of someone if need be.

    Tool Box

Yeah, I mean Snap ON boxes cost alot new, sell for alot used... The market value vs the value to me is drastically different lol. Had a guy try to trade me a Snap On box for a trailer recently lol. I get that someone will pay 1500 for the box... But I wouldn't trade for 4 tool boxes lol, IDC...

    Tool Box

I think that 1700 for a metal box to hold tools is absolutely retarded.

Shoot, at a glance, that tub looks pretty alright.

    Arduino powered fuel injector tester.

That looks pretty helpful. Hopefully my stuff shows up tomorrow and I can start digging into it. I've ordered some SSR's as well to be able to replicate the ECU controlling the grounds. If nothing else, I'd like to be able to quantify if it makes any difference how the injector is controlled...

    Arduino powered fuel injector tester.

Dave Follet's plan, I found here, http://www.twistedbuilds.com/arduino-controller-setup-for-the-home-build-fuel-injector-flow-bench/ Is more than sufficient for the initial flow testing I believe. I just came across it now.

    Arduino powered fuel injector tester.

Well, initially, I only need a timed 100% duty cycle since injectors are rated at 100@ and 43.5lbs of fuel pressure. They will give me the actual "flow" of the injectors I need for HP Tuners. For the dynamic part, I'm open to suggestions. I believe being able to change the frequency via pots...

    Arduino powered fuel injector tester.

I'm working on an Arduino powered fuel injector flow tester. I started out with a simple wave generator and a timer, but the relay I was using couldn't operate quickly enough, then I burned up the wave generator lol. It seems quite a few people have started on different testers, and either...

    Aluminum melts at 1300 lol.

Yeah, it just makes it alot easier to trouble shoot.

    Trailer Harness Wiring Issues

I like to ground the lights at the lights, just because.

Anyone running a Martin Turbo kit?

It looks like a T4 from the flange, between bolt holes they are 2.75" and 3.250"

Anyone running a Martin Turbo kit?

Unless it has some oddball flange, I wouldn't even worry rebuilds. If it comes to that, the market is flooded with T3 and T4 flange turbos for a few hundred bucks.

    Sourcing a posi unit

It can, it'll take someone with HP Tuners or EFI live and the credits, still cheaper than a microsquirt controller though.

    2007+ Silverado questions

If it looks like this, it has DOD, or, AFM Displacement on Demand, Active fuel management, same thing. All 5.3's got it. 6.0's in HD's did not.

    2007+ Silverado questions

The 07 is a split year, there's a classic, that looks like my 03 and has the same drivetrain as 99-06, and then the GMT900, that had all the new stuff and six speed autos.

    2007+ Silverado questions

Yeah, on further conteplation, if by tuner you mean, like Diablo or Hypertech... You don't want that crap.

I have HP Tuners Pro, it's more than paid for itself in VATs deletes and whatnot.

    2007+ Silverado questions

If you turn it off in the tune, it solves the problem of lifter failure, as long as you keep the RPM down. If you want to go over 6k, swapping in regular lifters would be prudent. I never noticed a difference in economy on my Trailblazer from killing it, it did stop drinking oil though. Any...

    Trailer Harness Wiring Issues

I would suspect a bad ground or connection at the trailer lights.
