Found a carb that would fit the motor build real well .. It's a Holley BR-67319 750 CFM Brawler Street Vacuum Secondary .. Kind of up there in price, brand new from Bowling Green Ky. Just like working the center and a bunch of sanding ... I'm thinking of drilling a hole for a choke cable ... The SBC motor has a choke stove on the intake that been working well for years ... Going to need to get a carb for the BBC motor, it may have a manual choke, don't have a clue what to...- dragstews

Nailed down a set of 049 heads ... A bit of a road trip to get them ... These are bare heads, no valves, springs, rocker arm studs .. Got a game plan in mind .. Going oversize on the valve heads and reducing the stem from Oem 3/8" to 11/32"... Springs will be matched to the Comp flat tappet cam...- dragstews

Got all three loaded ... Sure is a lot brighter than what was ... Since I'm doing a makeover on the beast I rolled the miles back to zero .. The 2 tenth is from me hand spinning the critter .. (It was a slow day, did get it up to 12 mph once)- dragstews

Don't know why, but I just bought a 454 BBC that came out of a low mile motorhome ... Don't need a motor for my truck, the built 400 mouse motor that's been in it still runs like day one .. Going to do a tear down on the new to me motor and build it back warmed up a bit ... Might stick it in...- dragstews

Needed to nail on a coolant sensor for the electric fan controller .. The controller will be mounted to the passenger side inner fender.. On the cly. head was a pipe plug .. Perfect place for the sensor .. But the dang thing wasn't about to break loose, two days went down with heating it up...- dragstews

Thanks Bennyl .. This on going project is keeping me out of the ti*y bars ... The peek mirrors have built in turn signals and are about as useful as ti*s on a bull for seeing what's going on behind ya ... That's why the smart rearview mirror was installed .. Made by FHD ...
