My 1982 Buick Grand National Project basket case

I should go out to Brush truck repair and see how much that guy would want for that Regal that the GN engine I have came out of. He installed a NA 3.8 into it. that's why I wound up with the GN engine. It was going through quit a lot of oil, He thought turbo and rings, turns out it is the intake...

    95 Chevy 350 swap

The horizontal oil filter is mounted to an adaptor that needs to be removed and installed onto the replacement engine, if clearance is an object but, as Idahovette pointed out, driveshaft is to the other side. If the 85 has been adapted to the 95 radiator then it might be possible that the...

    Confused new year...

Their need to be a specified angle from the transmission to the differential. That keeps the needle rollers in the U~Joint trunions rotating and prevents them from wearing in one position.

Wind noise is running me stir crazy

Easiest way to find air leaks is with smoke. A fireworks punk, an incense or someone that smokes. Have them drive, You take Your smoking device and move it around near the windows and doors. You will soon see the smoke being pulled out. Dont forget the windshield too.

    4x4 Conversion Question

I believe that about the only thing that would work out okay, without a lot of extra work, would be the floor board unit. The shifter hole can be patched easy enough. The springs, differentials would fit all right but it`d switch Your unit to a 1/2 ton. The manual trans can also be adapted over...

    4x4 Conversion Question

There You go. Prices probably quite reasonable too. If the floor pans are in fair condition You`d be all set and not have the extra vehicle hull components to have to deal with.

    4x4 Conversion Question

YUP, almost a must. Find one with a bad engine, be the cheapest. You will need the transmission components, transfer case, drive shafts, front end and several more that's not coming to mind at the moment, along with the floor pan from the 4X4 unit.

    Fuel leaks down?

If anyone does install an electric fuel pump, may I suggest to be sure to remove the mechanical unit and block off the hole. Reason being, the mechanical pump can rupture a diaphragm and leak fuel to the cranking case undetected, I guess We all know the results caused from fueled down oil.

    Looking to get a winch

YUP, that's how I got one on the front of the K3500. A place that sells steel should have the 2" receiver tube/box steel to fab up a hitch from. I use a piece that fits over the outside of the 2", about a 3/8ths to 1/2" thick and weld that to the outside end of the hitch just for added strength.

    Looking to get a winch

YUP, I too have been eyeballing them 300 dollar HF 12,000 winchus. Nice thing about a receiver on the front bumper, it makes for moving trailers much easier than always backing them around, although, backing a trailer is real easy once a person gets the hang of it. Heck, I have not jackknifed a...

Looks like a good solution to dark corners too.
